Dale was aware, though, of his previous Supercard losses and fought like never before, pinning the monstrous Ketch and advancing to the final match of the evening! The decisive match pitted him against KrackerJak and Naja Takemara but the 'Mad Bastard' was taken backstage by Bedrock after a run-in with Ketch. Stanwycz faced the crafty Naja and made good use of his experience to barely pin the submission master and become, once again, the new # 1 Contender to the Grand Championship! However, his good friend Tawny Blake shocked the entire world later in the evening by turning a heel, pinning the Vindicator to recapture the Grand Championship, and revealing her allegiance to ELEMENTAL DISTURBANCE. As a result, her relationship with Dale turned sour and the two superstars became sworn enemies! And it led them to an obsessive, plot twisting feud complete with backstage brawls, belt abductions, and even a Stanwycz 'moonie' at ON-LOCATION 2 in Hawaii!
Broken, both physically and mentally after the loss to Ketch, Dale continued his duties in the DCWL, even facing his old ally Rex Creed and defeating him at his own game! But the 'Master of Plundah' wasn't happy for that loss and decided to throw a wedge onto the friendship between Dale and Cousin Cletus, making Stanwycz believe his wife Elaine was cheating on him... with the 100% country boy! When "The Mirror" learned the truth, he knew he had to get back at Creed, and JT Damon gave him his shot, at a Three-Way Steel Cage Match at CORNERSTONE REVOLUTION, throwing Jack Ketch into the explosive mix!
But many say Dale was never the same after that fateful night when Tawny tricked Dale to come to the ring and, with the help of her ED cronies, shaved Stanwycz's mullet and left him bald like a cue ball! So it was just logical that they'd clash again at DEMENTED QUEST 2 in three matches, with three mystery referees, a stipulation put into effect by the new DCWL commissioner, KrackerJak! In a remarkable gesture of sportmanship, Dale and Tawny fought each other cleanly in a war so even, anyone could have won. At the end, Dale "The Mirror" Stanwycz prevailed and became, at last, the DCWL Grand Champion. Not only that, he also became the first superstar to do it without cheating!
